My studio sessions are usually about 3 hours long, but this all depends on baby. We will spend about an hour on each type of pose starting with the family poses where Dad and siblings are in the studio. After the family poses, we want the studio and baby as calm and relaxed as possible so I ask Dad and siblings to leave at this point, if you don't live close by, Okotoks is a great little town with plenty to do all year round - maybe take the siblings for a free skate, or visit the pool or even just the shops.

There are lots of things you can do in advance to make the session run as smoothly as possible which I outline in my Prep Guide, you can see an example of it here. The session prep guide is emailed in advance and has questions for you which I can use to taylor the session and my setup to better suit you and your baby. For those that follow it to the letter, we can usually shave off an hour with just as many beautiful images, and for those that don't, the session can honestly be twice as long with half as many images (it really does work)!

Fabric poses are the true timeless classics.  

Naked poses show off babies wonderful rolls, using careful angles that maintain your babies modesty. We then move onto various different wraps and poses which can be as different as each little personality I meet so I try not to plan this in advance.

We can also complement their emerging little personalities with matching little hats, bands, or even a favourite lovey!

Props are our chance to get creative! Any new born photographer will tell you, props are our weakness and we are always filling our studios and homes with new props all the time so there is always a great selection to choose from.

My props and colour palette are designed to be timeless, they will look just as relevant when your baby shares these images with their own children as they are when you open the gallery for the first time.

The only limit, is our imagination!

Parents and siblings will all be included in every combination. I truly feel the images speak for themselves.
